Dr. George Waldbusser, College of Ocean. & Atmosph. Sciences, Oregon State University — Tuesday, October 18, 2011 3:30 PM – 4:30 PM — Posted on EPOCA: 03 Oct 2011
This is the inaugural season of this new series, which is intended to provide an activity at which people in the OSU academic community will learn about advances in ecology and evolution, and meet others from the region who have allied interests. The accompanying class will serve as a further platform for students to dig more deeply into current issues in ecology and evolution, and to meet other students from around campus (and from nearby institutions).
We anticipate the seminar and class will continue on an ongoing basis, during fall, winter, and spring every year on Tuesdays at 3:30 in ALS 4001.
Each quarter we invite speakers from a diversity of disciplines and who will talk about different aspects of ecology and evolution. Depending on our funding, each quarter we hope to have several speakers from out of the region, with the remaining from OSU (including sabbatical visitors) and institutions within driving distance of here. We will have eight speakers this fall.
