A list of buoys and platforms monitoring pH and other ocean chemistry parameters
One role of C-CAN is to share information relevant to Ocean Acidification monitoring activity on the west coast.
NANOOS has posted an integrated West Coast Ocean Acidification Data Exchange, coordinated with all regional IOOS agencies: a web-based entry portal dedicated to providing information on OA and serving data.

The following list also contains known buoys that monitor ocean chemistry and provide data and information regarding OA processes affecting west coast fish and shellfish. . This listing is organized from north to south by IOOS regional associations.

JCOMMOPS: Main
JCOMMOPS provides coordination at the international level for oceanographic and marine observations from drifting buoys, moored buoys in the high seas, ships of opportunity and sub-surface profiling floats. JCOMMOPS operates under the auspices of the Joint WMO-IOC Technical Commission for Oceanography and Marine Meteorology (JCOMM).

• King County Buoys
The high-quality data collected by King County through its routine marine monitoring program have provided insight into natural variability and long-term trends in Puget Sound water quality. The frequency of monthly sampling, however, does not adequately capture the high variability in, and the relationships between, marine water quality parameters. King County partnered with the Seattle Aquarium in November 2007 to deploy its first high-frequency, real-time, marine water quality data collection system in Elliott Bay. Since that time, three additional systems have been deployed: a piling-mounted system at Dockton Park in inner Quartermaster Harbor; a buoy-mounted system off Alki, and a piling-mounted system at the Quartermaster Yacht Club, our monitoring partner.
